Candle Care Tips

General Candle Care + Wick Trimming:

  • We recommend to trim the candle wick(s) to at least 1/4" before lighting every time! Trimming the wicks make a huge difference in how your candle will burn and perform. Long wicks can burn hot which will use up your candle more quickly and could create soot. Grab a wick trimmer or simply use scissors, nail clippers or even toilet paper to pinch the excess wick off.
  • Burn your candle for up to 3-4 hours at a time. It's okay to allow for some wax hang up on the sides, as this will catch up around the 2nd to 4th burn. However, you don't want to burn your candle for less than 3-4 hours each time to prevent possible tunneling during future use.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended or within reach of a draft, animals, or children.
  • When your candle reaches approximately 1/4"-1/2" of wax left at the bottom, it's time to say goodbye! Candles are not intended to be burned until there is nothing left in the jar. There are a few ways to utilize the remaining wax, either by a lamp warmer or pop out the wax and use it in a wax warmer!
